Devil Between the Legs is literally a "beauty and beast". It is both sensitive and fragile, repulsive and obscene. Once it works as an antithesis to Cuarón's Roma and Haneke's Amour and then it shifts into a Béla Tarr/Lav Diaz' second-rate copycat movie as if directed by another Michel Franco.
