  3. Siodmak captures Lancaster’s performance of aimless angst in a claustrophobic scribble made of gunpowder and reeking of smoke. Needless to say, Burt Lancaster had the least fun at this little party full of greed. Burt Lancaster is amazing. Yvonne DeCarlo is a revelation. Criss Cross is one of the best films noir.
