The Buggles était un groupe de synthpop et new wave britannique, originaire de Wimbledon en Angleterre. Il se forme en 1977 et se sépare en 1981 . Ce duo, constitué de Geoff Downes et Trevor Horn , connaît son plus gros succès en 1979 avec son premier single , Video Killed the Radio Star .

Estaba formada por Geoff Downes (teclados), Trevor Horn ( bajo, guitarra, percusiones y voces) y Bruce Woolley. Antes del primer lanzamiento Woolley dejó la banda para formar The Camera Club junto a Thomas Dolby y Hans Zimmer .
Buggles werd in 1977 opgericht door multi-instrumentalist Trevor Horn. Na vele muzikale omzwervingen vroeg hij Geoff Downes, die hij kende uit de begeleidingsband van Tina Charles, als keyboardspeler en Bruce Woolley, die hij kende uit de huisband van het Hammersmith Odeon, als drummer.
