Eden, sir Anthony (propr. Robert A.) Politico inglese (Windlestone, Durham, 1897-Alvediston, Wiltshire, 1977). Deputato conservatore dal 1923, come ministro degli Esteri (1935-38) si adoperò per una politica di netta opposizione alle dittature europee; contrario alla politica di distensione verso la Germania e l’Italia perseguita da Chamberlain, si dimise nel 1938.
