Sir Richard died between Oct 30 and Nov 28 of 1217, and Amice had her husband’s body carried to Tewkesbury Abbey to be buried in the choir of the Abbey.

Robert died before his father did, and the estates and titles fell to the three sisters as co-heirs. The title of Gloucester eventually passed to Amice’s descendants.

Amicia was the second daughter of William FitzRobert, 2nd Earl of Gloucester and his wife Hawise de Beaumont. She was married to Richard de Clare, 3rd Earl of Hertford, around 1180.
