What caused this change of mind?
6 giorni fa · Three different early versions of the play are extant: the First Quarto (Q1, 1603); the Second Quarto (Q2, 1604); and the First Folio (F1, 1623). Each version includes lines and passages missing from the others.

The modern text of King Lear derives from three sources: two quartos, one published in 1608 (Q 1) and the other in 1619 (Q 2), and the version in the First Folio of 1623 (F 1). Q1 has "many errors and muddles". Q2 was based on Q1. It introduced corrections and new errors.
6 giorni fa · Macbeth was first printed in the First Folio of 1623 and the Folio is the only source for the text. Some scholars contend that the Folio text was abridged and rearranged from an earlier manuscript or prompt book.
