15 mag 2024 · The Wheatsheaf Inn is behind No. 129 High Street in the Wheatsheaf Yard. This yard is a narrow passage running from between Nos. 127 and 129 High Street down to Blue Boar Street. The buildings in the Wheatsheaf Yard, including this inn, were demolished and rebuilt in 1896/7.

It was almost entirely rebuilt between 1932 and 1934, but some of the original features, such as two seventeenth-century fireplaces, remain.
