Especially as the story of Mor'du seems to imply that the witch's spell was indeed not supposed to help her rekindle her relationship with her family, but that she was supposed to refuse to use it and... just do it, somehow, although nothing would've changed.

I know this has been said before, but in retrospect, Mor'du is the one Disney villain that leaves me truly terrified. I guess because he's a bear, just severely deformed, not to mention he's so freaking tall! But, something so familiar and grounded in reality, like a bear, makes it terrifying to me. 12.
