2 giorni fa · Repair Professional. A potential customer once called and wanted me to fix his very broken 1 inch, 8 track studio deck that he had just purchased for $400. He said since it was "only worth" $400 he didn't want to spend much more than that for repairs. I ended that call in about 20 seconds as you can imagine.
12 giu 2024 · Most of my URs have about -2 or -3 dB sensitivity, but mid frequency distortion isn't audible until after around +3dB Dolby reference. Especially in America it was known, also in other countries it was known for some time but never a great success. In the early eighties they went under due to the arrival of better cassette tapes.
