1 giorno fa · 2 July - BBC Two airs the first half of the Live 8 pop concert from Hyde Park with the second half airing on BBC One. 17 July – After 41 years broadcasting on BBC One, music show Top of the Pops is switched to BBC Two due to declining audiences. This is not enough to save it and it is axed the following year.
