28 mag 2024 · 4. Bert Jones. The Colts drafted Jones second overall in 1973; the Houston Oilers selected defensive lineman (and later actor) John Matuszak with the top pick. The Colts of the early 1970s were reeling from the end of the Johnny Unitas era, the arrival of new owner Robert Irsay and (soon) the 1974 players strike.

Unitas asked the Pro Football Hall of Fame on numerous occasions (including on Roy Firestone's film Up Close) to remove his display unless it was listed as belonging to the Baltimore Colts.
