The road to Furiosa has been an odd one. Originally there was no plans to make a live-action film, but to tell the story of Furiosa in comic and anime form.

  4. 20 mag 2024 · Fury Road is still the better film for me, but I'm also glad for the ways this movie deviated and built out the world. Hemsworth's best performance by far, and a definite highlight. I'd say the soundtrack wasn't up to par with Fury Road's, and there were a couple dodgy moments of CGI, but otherwise this had a great, epic feel to it.

  5. 20 mag 2024 · Not saying the film was bad, just kind of middling at best. The pacing isn't great and the movie takes a long time to get going. You really feel the runtime. Definitely won't be seeing this again until it becomes a digital rental. Which is insane because I watched Fury Road like 4 times in theaters.

  6. 20 mag 2024 · It's a great, gripping film and for better or worse it really feels like the second half of the same package - which makes sense since Fury Road and Furiosa were conceived as one project - but since Furiosa comes a decade later and it retains the same visual language, setting etc it just is that less impactful.

Jennifer Connelly also appears in The Hot Spot. Connelly plays the role of Dolly Harshaw, a young woman caught up in the dangerous world of Harry Madox.
