In addition to being, at the time, one of the few all-female groups in rock, the Runaways are often considered early punk or protopunk, so for Bratmobile to cover the song is doubly symbolic.

25 mag 2024 · The Hollywood Stars were originally assembled by rock impresario Kim Fowley in 1973. According to an essay written by Fowley for Who Put the Bomp! fanzine, he envisioned the group as a “West Coast version of The New York Dolls.”
