  2. 1 mag 2024 · KEMUN conference - King Edward's High School for Girls. May 1, 2024. KEMUN conference. Our KEMUN 2024 took place on 19th and 20th April. The two days comprised of an Opening Ceremony, the lobbying phase, the General Assembly and a Closing Ceremony.

The boys' schools in Bath Row, Meriden Street and Edward Street were closed in 1882 (fn. 124) and the Gem Street schools in 1883, (fn. 125) and the pupils transferred to the new grammar schools at Five Ways, Camp Hill, and Aston.

The school began operation in a house and land purchased from John Proude in 1551, together with three rented half-timbered buildings, which included Riggs Hall, built in 1450.
