Ned Brower was born on 15 December 1978 in Chapel Hill, North Carolina, USA. He is an actor and director, known for Not Another Teen Movie (2001), Big Fat Liar (2002) and Repli-Kate (2002). He has been married to Sarah Jane Morris since 19 February 2005. They have two children.

Rooney first formed as Ed Rooney in 1999. The original lineup consisted of Robert Schwartzman, Matthew Winter on bass, Teddy Briggs on drums, and Matthew Star (née Srolestar) and Taylor Locke on guitar. Ned Brower replaced Briggs as drummer and Louie Stephens was added as keyboardist.
