24 mag 2024 · For my money, this is the worst film in the Phantasm franchise. It’s dull, anticlimactic, and even a bit depressing. Instead of the jolt at the end there’s just a sad drive into the darkness. That they’d make yet another movie must have struck many at the time as unlikely, not to mention unwelcome.

17 mag 2024 · The intention was that Phantasm III would have a theatrical release, but plans changed and it was left tainted by what director Don Coscarelli called “the stink of direct-to-video.” And while I appreciate parts of it, I’m not sure this was unfair. VHS is where a movie like Phantasm III belonged.
