5 giu 2024 · Rockpile – Seconds of Pleasure. Back in the 70s with the new wave & pub rock bands one of the recipes they followed was that opening number had to be ear-candy. An immediate catchy melody with playing that had vibrancy. Rockpile knew how to do this in 1980.

It features Edmunds, Nick Lowe, Billy Bremner and Terry Williams, the lineup also known as Rockpile. 18 mag 2024 · Lowe wrote many of the songs on ‘Tracks on wax 4’ in 1978, during a hectic stage in Edmund’s career when he played with Emmylou Harris, Carl Perkins, with his own band Rockpile, and appeared at the Knebworth Festival and the Rock For Kampuchea concert.

4 giorni fa · Seconds of Pleasure is an album by Rockpile a band consisting of guitarists/vocalists Dave Edmunds and Billy Bremner, bassist/vocalist Nick Lowe, and drummer Terry Williams. Released in October 1980, the band had played together on various solo albums by Edmunds and Lowe in previous years, but Seconds of Pleasure would be the first (and only) album released under the Rockpile name.
