13 ago 2024 · Mary Eleanor Bowes (1749-1800), Countess of Strathmore, was born in 1749, the only child of George Bowes (1701-1767) and Mary Gilbert. In 1767 she inherited her father's estate and on 24 February married John Lyon (later Bowes-Lyon), Earl of Strathmore.
