Utba ibn Abi Sufyan ibn Harb ( Arabic: عتبة بن أبي سفيان بن حرب, romanized : ʿUtba ibn Abī Sufyān ibn Ḥarb) was a member of the Umayyad ruling family and served as the Umayyad governor of Egypt in 664–665, during the reign of his brother, Caliph Mu'awiya I ( r. 661–680 ).
Al-Walid ibn Utba ibn Abi Sufyan (Arabic: الوليد بن عتبة بن أبي سفيان, romanized: Al-Walīd ibn ʿUtba ibn Abī Sufyān; died 684) was an Umayyad ruling family member and statesman during the reigns of the Umayyad caliphs Mu'awiya I (r. 661–680) and Yazid I (r. 680–683).
Muʿāwiya ibn Abī Sufyān (in arabo معاوية بن أبي سفيان ?, Muʿāwiya ibn Abī Sufyān; La Mecca, 603 – Damasco, 18 aprile 680) fu il primo califfo omayyade. Dopo la morte del califfo ʿAlī ibn Abī Ṭālib regnò dalla capitale Damasco sul nascente impero arabo dal 661 al 680.

When Yazid attained to the caliphate, the Governors of Madina, Makkah, Kufa and Basra were Walid bin Utba bin Abu Sufyan, Amr bin Sa'id, Nuaman bin Bashir and Ubaydullah ibn Ziyad respectively.
