He thought of Ozzy as the singer or even Ronnie James Dio as the singer. He just couldn't get into singing "Iron Man" night after night.

1 mag 2024 · No, that's ridiculous. Even as a 12 year old NYC kid, I knew Ian Gillan's name, and I think most rockers did - even most nonrockers who just listened to classic rock. Purple still had tons of airplay in the States in the early '80s.
