2 giorni fa · The title of Earl of Newcastle upon Tyne was, on March 7, 1627, revived in the person of William Cavendish, Viscount Mansfield and Baron Ogle. At Shrove-tide, in 1632, there was a riot of the apprentices of Newcastle, on account of a new lime-kiln and ballast-heap having been made without the gate of the town, called Sand Gate.
