Apart from his six sisters, Bose’s family expanded to include his wife Ushabati Ghosh, and their nine children, two of whom tragically died in their early years.

They hosted the publication of literary magazines; theatre and recitals of Bengali and Western classical music featured there regularly.

Sathyendranath Bose urged Eienstein to get his research paper (which he had attached along with his letter) published in the German journal Zeitschrift fur Physik, if he found it worthy enough.
