The Holy Spirit still guides and teaches the Church today. We have received the Spirit in the Sacraments of Baptism and Confirmation.

The Feast of the Epiphany on Friday 6th January is a Holy Day of Obligation. Mass will be celebrated at St Cuthbert’s at 7pm on Thursday 5th (Vigil Mass) and at 12.15pm on Friday 6th January.

  3. 6 giorni fa · The story of Durham Cathedral begins with Lindisfarne Priory, where St. Cuthbert, northern England’s most venerated saint, died in 687. Viking raids forced the residents of Lindisfarne to flee, taking St. Cuthbert’s coffin with him.
