28 apr 2024 · Ferrari poteva già contare su un motore adatto, un 4 cilindri in linea progettato da Aurelio Lampredi nelle versioni da 2,5 e 2 litri. La nuova vettura, denominata 500 F2, non ebbe praticamente rivali nel 1952 e nel 1953, aggiudicandosi 14 vittorie su 15 gran premi.

The new car, dubbed the 500 F2, had virtually no rivals in 1952 and 1953, clinching 14 victories out of 15 grands prix. Ascari was world champion in both seasons.
