In October 2014, I ordered a brand new HG One with the 83mm TiN burrs, and it has been my main grinder at home for 6 years now. I probably drink about 500g-1kg per month. It's fair to say it must surely be seasoned by now. For some reason, I am a guy who likes a manual process.

Whole milk is the best, and having used a Sage - it is very possible to do good latte art, just practice Add the air to the milk to stop the squealing in the first 5-8 seconds and then submerge the tip to just smooth out the bubbles. You're looking for milk that resembles liquid mallow.

  4. 12 giu 2021 · But yes, as you describe, no preinfusion what so ever but getting a higher pressure with coffee which jumps up to about 11 bar and slowly drops to around 9 bar. Sometimes under. However with a blind basket, Hits and holds 9 bar. It's only started happening recently as was not an issue before.

  5. 11 mag 2016 · It's worth giving the rounded side of the gasket a light film of molykote111 or similar if you have some. This should aid removal next time round. If the gasket is the correct way round, a gentle turn of your portafilter in the grouphead should ease the shower screen and gasket gently into place. There should be no need to use brute force to do so.

  6. 22 feb 2017 · Has a wealth of information and really glad i found it. Now to my question. Coffee is being treated as a commodity on the stock exchange, with a set global price. Much like gold. Yet, gold i can buy as a bullion at prices very close to the stock exchange price. Raw coffee beans are being traded at around $3.7/kg.

  8. 17 dic 2015 · So I've be trying to get to the bottom of a poor tasting shot and I think I've found it! I did a cooling flush earlier and noticed the water had a tinny metallic smell, i've then tasted it and it has a fairly strong metallic taste.

  10. 24 ago 2023 · Thanks Coffeman - the 10k resistor solution worked perfectly for my out of warranty sage barista touch. Would have cost over £200 to get fixed as I would have to sent it away for repair. One issue for my machine is that when doing the milk frothing manally I have to set the temp to 75c. - not sure why but think there is some kind of built in ...
