3 giorni fa · I'm reading the Ashley Kahn book Kind of Blue: The Making of the Miles Davis Masterpiece and it refers to use of a Telefunken U49 as one of the mics used in the recording sessions. The microphone in the pictures looks like an M49 to me.

It is the third track, as well as one of two ballads, on Davis’ Kind of Blue, released by Columbia Records on August 17, 1959.
