6 giorni fa · In December, 1882, H. C. E. Childers was appointed Chancellor of the Exchequer, but no evidence has been found to suggest that he occupied No. 11 as a residence. He was succeeded in July, 1885, by Sir Michael Hicks-Beach (afterwards Earl St. Aldwyn), who is shown at No. 11 in the issue of Boyle's Court Guide for 1886.
