Baron de Mauley 1838, d. 1855) and died in 1844 leaving as heir her son Charles. Charles was followed at his death in 1896 by his sons William (d. 1918) and the Revd. Maurice Ponsonby in turn.
Thomas's son John (d. 1797) left the estate to his granddaughter Lady Barbara Ashley Cooper who in 1814 married William Francis Spenser Ponsonby, created Baron de Mauley in her right in 1838.
