17 giu 2024 · Although the visual effects are certainly impressive, Andrew Lesnie's cinematography helps to make the fictional world immersive and credible. Middle-earth becomes a place viewers easily get lost in. That sense of authenticity is a big part of why the movie was hugely popular around the world.
There's a great story told by Sean Astin and Elijah Wood on the commentary for the Return Of The King about Andrew Lesnie (cinematographer). They're talking about the scene where Frodo has been captured and he's being held by the Orcs in Cirith Ungol.
