1 giorno fa · Swallows and Amazons was written in 1929, by Arthur Ransome, an English friend of Vladimir Lenin and the husband of Leon Trotsky’s personal secretary. It was something of a change of course for the man who had crossed the battle lines to personally, by word of mouth only, carry the messages between senior officials that had ended the Estonian War of Independence ten years earlier.
