13 giu 2024 · Born on February 3, 1809, in Hamburg, Germany, Felix Mendelssohn was a prodigious talent whose contributions to music were profound and enduring. His influence on the Romantic period and classical music as a whole is immeasurable.
I shall share my Mendy history research and pictures of Mendelssohn related adventures. Feel free to post your Mendelssohn thoughts, art and anything related. I visited Fingal’s Cave in Scotland too, where Felix got his idea for the Hebrides Overture.

29 giu 2024 · Works written over the following years include the Variations sérieuses (1841), for piano, the Lobgesang (1840; Hymn of Praise ), Psalm CXIV, the Piano Concerto No. 2 in D Minor (1837), and chamber works. In 1838 Mendelssohn began the Violin Concerto in E Minor–Major.
