Yet, she's depicted as 18 to 19, according to supervising animator Glen Keane. Many believe this change of age served only to sexualize Pocahontas, as with many Disney princesses. What's more, while it was covered in the sequel, Pocahontas actually married John Rolfe, not John Smith.
