APOLLODORUS or Pseudo-Apollodorus is the name traditionally given to the author of the Greek work known as The Library or Bibliotheca, a compendium of myth sourced from old Greek epic and the plays of the Tragedians.
Apollodorus of Athens (died after 120 bc) was a Greek scholar of wide interests who is best known for his Chronika ( Chronicle) of Greek history. Apollodorus was a colleague of the Homeric scholar Aristarchus of Samothrace (both served as librarians of the great library in Alexandria, Egypt).
