Drummer Marc Harismendy joined afterwards. The band was named Save Ferris after the film Ferris Bueller's Day Off (1986). Powell, who had connections in the Orange County music scene because of being in Larry and her contact with Reel Big Fish, became the band's manager.

11 mag 2024 · Following a European tour, "The World Is New" was released as a single in May 1998. After this, drummer Marc Harismendy left the band and was replaced by Evan Kilborne. "Superspy" was issued as the album's last single in August 1998.
