Nurbanu Sultan, (turco ottomano: نور بانو سلطان; Regina di luce) il cui nome originale era, secondo la tradizione Cecilia Venier Baffo (Paro, 1525 circa – Costantinopoli, 7 dicembre 1583), è stata la favorita, Haseki Sultan e moglie legale del sultano Selîm II e madre del sultano Murad III e di quattro figlie.

Afife Nurbanu Valide Sultan (Osmanlı Türkçesi: نور بانو سلطان; d. 1525/1530 - ö. 7 Aralık 1583, İstanbul), Osmanlı Padişahı II. Selim'in (saltanatı 1566-1574) yasal eşi olarak Haseki Sultan, Sultan III. Murad'ın (saltanatı 1574-1595) annesi ve Osmanlı İmparatorluğu'nun Valide Sultan'ıdır.
Nurbanu became the “first lady” of the princely harem and was promoted to leadership of the imperial harem when the Prince ascended the throne as Selim II, “Grand Sultan, Commander of the Faithful and Successor of the Prophet of the Lord of the Universe” in 1566.

9 dic 2021 · Afife Nurbanu Valide Sultan, Osmanlı Devleti'nin on birinci padişahı II. Selim'in eşi ve babasından sonra tahta çıkan 3. Murad'ın annesidir. Hürrem Sultan'dan sonra valide sultan olmuştur. 'Işık saçan kraliçe' anlamına gelen Nurbanu ismini hareme girdikten sonra bu adı almıştır.
