Sekal Has to Die (Czech: Je třeba zabít Sekala, Polish: Zabić Sekala) is a 1998 Czech film directed by Vladimír Michálek. It was the Czech Republic's submission to the 71st Academy Awards for the Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film , but was not accepted as a nominee.

A christian blacksmith (Olaf Lubaszenko) comes walking to a catholic village somewhere in Czechoslovakia during the Nazi-ruled time of World War 2. The farmers and villagers soon want to persuade or force him to kill the Sekal (Boguslaw Linda) of the title, who is keeping the village in a firm grip while taking what he wants.
A resister (Olaf Lubaszenko) hides out in a village where he encounters a Nazi collaborator (Bogusław Linda) acquiring the farms of other resisters by turning them in.
