Schneider's CD, Lonelyland, was released in February and has gottensome attention due to three of his song's being included on girlfriend SandraBullock's movie soundtrack for Gun Shy. With this exposure, Schneiderbecame the first unsigned musical performer to appear on The Tonight Showwith Jay Leno.
1 mag 2001 · Lonelyland opens with a pure three-minute pop ditty, “Metal And Steel”, that rivals anything issued by Freedy Johnston or Matthew Sweet in the past decade. The plainly rambling “2002”, a reminiscence from the future about a lost soul and how he got there, shows Schneider’s allure as a lyricist.
Week in and week out, Bruton can be glimpsed in the sideman's role at the Saxon Pub: Sundays with the Resentments (an all-star collective with labelmate Jon Dee Graham) and Mondays with Lonelyland, Scabs frontman Bob Schneider's semi-acoustic singer-songwriter project.
Lonelyland showcases Schneider's competing interests as a singer-songwriter (nice Elvis Costello-like melodic turns of "Big Blue Sea") and Southern white-boy rapper (most notably on the swampy "Bullets").

8 lug 2013 · I just played through the entire Lonelyland album last week at the Saxon Pub (Ed. Note: He plays the Saxon Pub in Austin every Monday) with my band and it brought up a lot of wonderful memories. One of the things that struck me was how good the songs are on that record.
