Ruby explores the bottom range of his horn (no one else has found such sonic splendor in those depths), then climbs, and quotes (like the composer) from another Satchmo gem, “That’s My Home.” Sargent gets off a terrific second chorus during his outing, and when Ruby returns his horn gets that Lester Young flavor.

Reuben "Ruby" Braff (March 16, 1927 – February 9, 2003) was an American jazz trumpeter and cornetist. Jack Teagarden was once asked about him on the Garry Moore television show and described Ruby as "the Ivy League Louis Armstrong ".
