Though best known for his work with Jefferson Airplane, Electric Hot Tuna, and Jefferson Starship, Joey Covington (born Joseph Michno) had a long career starting at age 10 as a self taught drummer/percussionist. Joey recorded on over 22 albums, of which 16 went gold and platinum.
13 ott 2016 · Joey Covington died in a car crash in Palm Springs, California on June 4th 2013 at the age of 67. According to the Desert Sun newspaper, Covington, who was not wearing a seat belt, crashed into a retaining wall at a highway curve. His car flew off the road hitting an elevated highway.
