The painter Eugène Delacroix was his fourth son, although doubts have been cast on his paternity.

Charles-François Delacroix era un politico durante la Rivoluzione francese. Ha servito come ministro francese degli Affari esteri dal 1795 al 1797 e come ambasciatore presso la Repubblica Batava dal 1797 al 1799
