On January 18, 2016, it was announced that Darren Chewka, of Canadian band The Old Wives, would become Teenage Bottlerocket's new drummer. The band returned to Fat Wreck Chords in 2017, releasing Stealing the Covers, a full-length album consisting entirely of cover songs by obscure bands.

12 lug 2017 · Their new drummer, Darren Chewka, does a solid job. He doesn’t ever really get a chance to shine, and maybe that’s due to the material, but everything about his playing is strong and fits in seamlessly.
