17 lug 2023 · For a film that was released in 2001, Meghamalhar still feels very fresh. And while every department does a splendid job, what really stood out for me is the writing of the leads – more specifically, the thinking nature of the leads, in this largely romantic film.
It’s true as Celine says, it’s hard to meet someone who understands you in life. Rajeev and Nanditha are that two missing bits of puzzle to each other, they know they make each other complete yet decide to be separated leaving us yearning for that absolute magical relationship they have.

Meghamalhaar. The film is the story of Rajeevan, an advocate and Nandita Menon, a writer. Rajeevan is married to Rekha, a bank employee, and has two kids. Nandita is married to Mukundan, a businessman in the Gulf, and has a daughter. Both meet each other accidentally and in due course their relationship becomes intimate.
One day, she happens to meet her childhood sweetheart Rajeevan and they become intimate friends. However they decide to part ways as they're already married. The film is the story of Rajeevan, an advocate and Nandita Menon, a writer. Rajeevan is married to Rekha, a bank employee, and has two kids.
