  1. Maria Elisabeth Lämmerhirt (24 February 1644, Erfurt – 1 May 1694, Eisenach) was the mother of Johann Sebastian Bach. She was a daughter of Valentin Lämmerhirt (or Lemmerhirt, 1605–1665), a furrier and coachman in Erfurt. On 8 April 1668, she married her friend since childhood, Johann Ambrosius Bach.

  6. Johann Sebastian’s mother Maria Elisabeth Lämmerhirt (1644–94) was the daughter of a furrier and town councillor in Erfurt. Her sister became the mother of Bach’s cousin J.G. Walther, and her half-sister Hedwig Lämmerhirt was the second wife of Ambrosius Bach’s uncle Johann Bach, who was organist at the Predigerkirche in Erfurt.
