Gordon Peter Getty (born December 20, 1933) is an American businessman and classical music composer, the fourth child of oil tycoon J. Paul Getty. His mother, Ann Rork, was his father's fourth wife. When his father died in 1976, Gordon assumed control of Getty's US$ 2 billion trust.
American composer Gordon Getty has made a lifetime of contributions to the world of classical music. In recognition of his extraordinary legacy, he was awarded the prestigious European Culture Prize in 2019 and inducted into Opera America's Opera Hall of Fame in 2022.
