Con Curtis alla voce, ma senza più Mason alla batteria (che da quel momento divenne il manager del gruppo), sostituito con Tony Tabac, il 27 maggio del 1977 la band si esibì nuovamente in città, come spalla ai più noti Buzzcocks e sempre all'Electric Circus.

In quell'occasione il gruppo, senza Mason (che resta però in qualità di manager) e con Tony Tabac alla batteria, cambia nome in Warsaw (in omaggio a Bowie e al suo capolavoro "Warszawa", contenuto ...
23 mar 2022 · Mason abbandona quasi subito i tamburi per diventare manager del gruppo, sostituito inizialmente da Tony Tabac. Il quartetto inizia a esibirsi e a registrare qualche demo , mettendo a punto un sound che per l’epoca è quasi rivoluzionario.
Tony Tabac. Joy Division was an English post-punk band. They formed in 1976 in Salford. Ian Curtis was the lead singer. Peter Hook played bass guitar. Stephen Morris played the drums. Bernard Albrecht (Sumner) played guitar and sometimes the synthesizer. Ian Curtis died by suicide in 1980.
