January 2, 1948 (age 76) Kerry Churchill Minnear (born 2 January 1948) is a multi-instrumentalist musician. He is known primarily for his work with the progressive rock band Gentle Giant from 1970 to 1980. He graduated from the Royal Academy of Music in London with a major in musical composition.

16 giu 2011 · Kerry Minnear, a conservatory-trained classical musician, was one of the compositional forces behind Gentle Giant. His use of counterpoint and medieval motives largely gave Gentle Giant its distinctive sound. Kerry is also well known for his ethereal voice, his vibes solos, and of course his keyboard and cello playing.
