Zap Mama is a Belgian singer-songwriter, performer, composer, lyricist, activist, video artist and ethno-vocal therapist born in the Democratic Republic of Congo, raised in Belgium. Zap Mama sings polyphonic and afro-pop music, a harmonic music with a mixture of infused African vocal techniques, urban, hip hop with emphasis on voice. [1]
"Final Home," with Estereo and Mista Sinista, blends both into one track. But, in the end, the melodics win the day: Zap Mama makes "Danger Of Love" sound almost like a lullaby, while "Sonic Traveller" has some African instrumental overtones, and "Duck Chase" goes buck-wild with the scratching.

Zap Mama è un gruppo musicale belga fondato nel 1991 dall'artista Marie Daulne di padre belga e madre congolese. Nata come formazione per esecuzioni a cappella , ha un repertorio in cui si possono rintracciare influenze pop , africane , statunitensi .
