The Cassandra Complex are a British electronic rock group originally formed by Rodney Orpheus, Paul Dillon, and Andy Booth in 1980 in Leeds, England. [1] The current line-up still features original members Orpheus, Dillon, and Booth, with the addition of US musicians Chris Haskett, Mera Roberts, and Brent Heinze.
Mera Roberts. vc, US Musician of Electronic and Rock. Cellist Mera's first job in music was as keyboardist, and then also cellist, with The Garden of Dreams. She went on to play cello for Black Tape For A Blue Girl. She created her own solo project, Oblivia in 1988. She has since played with The Last Dance, Arcanta and Cassandra Complex.
This was the second album to feature Lucian Casselman on vocals and Vicki Richards on violin. It also featured Mera Roberts on cello. Remnants went on to become Black Tape for a Blue Girl's best selling release, and was the basis for the band's first live performance, Tuesday June 25, 1996 at Projektfest'96 in Chicago.
12 feb 2024 · The album features the original founding members Rodney Orpheus and Andy Booth (guitar), with long time additional members Chris Haskett (HENRY ROLLINS BAND, DAVID BOWIE) on guitar and Mera Roberts (FAITH AND THE MUSE, BLACK TAPE FOR A BLUE GIRL) on cello, as well as the new member Brent Heinze (PROBE 7) on keyboards.
