Arch Alfred Moore Capito (born August 30, 1982) is an American attorney and politician who served in the West Virginia House of Delegates from 2016 to 2023. A member of the Republican Party, he was a candidate for governor of West Virginia in the state's 2024 gubernatorial election but was defeated by Patrick Morrisey.
Moore Capito is a 6 th generation West Virginian, product of our public schools, and former All-State athlete. As the father of two young kids, the future of our state is personal to Moore. In 2020, Moore successfully captained the critical mission to elect a Republican supermajority in West Virginia’s House of Delegates.
