Sir Roger Clarendon (c.1350–1402), was a royal bastard and conspirator, who was executed for treason. [1] Biography. Clarendon was a natural son of Edward the Black Prince, and his mistress, Edith Willesford. He was a paternal half-brother to Richard II of England.

Roger Clarendon (ill.) Edward of Woodstock (15 June 1330 – 8 June 1376), [1] known to history as the Black Prince, [a] was the eldest son and heir apparent of King Edward III of England. He died before his father and so his son, Richard II, succeeded to the throne instead.

He married the heiress of the Baron de la Roche which should have set him up rather nicely but unfortunately she died without children and her land was distributed between her cousins.
